The 0-axis stage is the most appropriate and economical choice when sample heating and cooling is required without any form of manipulation/rotation etc. It has additional uses such as e.g. a temporary storage or static preparation table when combined with a wobble stick.

Heating/cooling

Each device has a sample receiving stage for PTS or Flag style sample holder. Samples can be heated resistively, with direct current or by EB method, depending upon the requirement. Cooling can be performed by cryostat through which flows liquid nitrogen LN₂ or liquid helium LHe.
